Twinning Project is a bilateral exchange of 15-20 youngsters who visit the partnership university for a weekend (up to 1 week). Workshops and lectures are during the day and in the afternoon and evening there are cultural and social activities organised.

 Hence, the project aims to establish close personal contact between students of faculties in different countries and enables close insights into how students in other countries live and study uniquely, thus increasing mutual understanding of their European neighbours. Sports events, such as tournaments in various disciplines  (which are particularly popular in the host-country) are also big part of the social program.

The duration is usually 4-7 days to enable every student to take part in that project without having to fear of missing crucial cources and having to repeat a year.

EMSA Europe facilitates this project by giving information, blueprints and help on the organisation of the project, finding teachers for workshops (through our contacts in Brussels), setting up contact between Faculty Member Organisations who express the wish to organise a Twinning Project and, if possible, even support the travel costs.

Twinning Project Market

Twice a year at the statutory meetings of EMSA, the General Assembly and the National Coordinators & Enthusiasts Meeting (NCM), a Twinning Project Market is held. During this inter-European fair, representatives of all FMO's can present their countries, cities and faculties and offer a Twinning Project opportunity to all other FMO's. Often the numerous discussions and negotiations are accompanied by promotion of the countries by sharing small examples of every country's cuisine and culture.
