Activities - European Integration

Erasmus-Medicus is a project of EMSA that aims in helping medical students taking part in the “Erasmus” programme to cope with difficulties they face, such as: financial, administrative, cultural & language problems, differences between the educational systems, lack in the quality of information and, sometimes, social isolation. The project’s goal is to integrate the Erasmus-students into their host faculty, the best way possible.

During the project, FMOs can organize:

Ø  Events for arriving Erasmus students, such us meetings for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, welcome parties, cultural shows and events, official ceremonies etc.

Ø  Non-formal medical language trainings for Erasmus outgoing students and “Tandem” for both incomings and outgoings.

Ø  Informative handbooks, websites etc. for provision of information to students.

Ø  Organizing mentoring schemes, i.e. crating “twins” between Erasmus incomings and local students, social “buddies” etc.

Ø  Workshops about ways of financial support for both incomings/outgoings.

Ø  Other events/projects in cooperation with other youth NGOs active in the same field.
